Say Aloha to Gary Sohmers! His storied career has earned him the moniker, King of Pop Culture. His father instilled a lifelong love of collecting in him. You may have seen him as an appraiser on Antiques Roadshow putting smiles on people’s faces by valuing things like Frank Zappa paintings worth between $15,000 and $25,000. He’s a producer of BIG events like the NorthEast ComicCon and the Collectibles Extravaganza which just took place on March 11th. Author, TV personality, entrepreneur and producer just touches the surface of what Gary Sohmers is all about. What you might not know is that Gary Sohmers is an accomplished musician with a long history of producing and performing. He produced over 1000 concerts. His first record came out in 1980. Now he plans to use a musical platform to spread messages of goodness, kindness and hope with his explosive musical, Beasties: A Sci-Fi Rock Opera. It was an utter blast to chat with him about his exciting life and career.

According to Mr. Sohmers, the universe compelled him to write this rock opera. Several of the songs had been written for years already. He not only wrote nine new songs recently, but he also wrote three novels from the perspectives of the three main characters.
